Activity, Sport and Outdoor Places

There are several park areas in Harold Hill, one of the most well know is Central Park, located in the heart of Harold Hill. Within this lovely park, there is a large area with swings and slides and climbing frames etc for young children. This is all fenced and gated to make it a place of safety for children and dogs are not allowed in. The rest of the park offers lots of green lush grass and forestry parts for country walks. On the edge of the park from Gooshays Drive or Dagnam Park Drive, there is the large indoor community swimming pool and gym (Central Park Leisure Centre).

Next to this is the new development know as 'Myplace', a lottery funded 4 million pound developement for the local community offering activities for all age groups from small children to the elderly. The centre is a great place for young people and includes include dance and music space, a recording studio, bike workshop, computer suite, a juice bar and café and a crèc

he. They often hold business expo's here too, great for networking opportunities.

There is also 5 star club on Gooshays Drive where you can learn martial arts, boxing and many other sports and games.

For those into Skateboarding activity there is a Skateboard park within Central Park behind MyPlace.

Also close by is the wooded/forest area known locally as 'The Manor'. This is a huge forest area, great for peaceful walks and can be accessed from Tring gardens. There are often Reindeer walking around the area, sometimes leaving the safety of the trees to cross the road and go into Central Park!. If you like nature walks this really is a lovely place to go on a warm Sunday afternoon or even in the crisp winter snow!! There are several other 'wooded' areas around Harold Hill, making it a very 'green' area to live with lots of leafy places within easy access which is particularly nice if you have dogs and/or children. Although there are many properties in the Harold Hill area, there are still lots of nice parks to visit.

For Health, there are numerous Doctor and Dental surgeries in Harold Hill. There is also The Health Centre in Gooshays Drive and a walk-in centre in nearby Harold Wood (less than half a mile away) where you can go with minor injuries as an alternative to A&E.

The nearest hospital is Queens in Romford, so having a walk-in centre at Harold Wood (in The Drive) is really beneficial to the residents of Harold Hill and the surrounding area.
